Theological formation is one of the basic elements in the Christian formation of adults. The Disciples of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, in addition to our dedication to university teaching of theology also promote faith formation activities for young people and adults.
In addition to specific parish formation activities, the Disciples promote other activities of faith according to the spirit of discipleship that animates us.
Each religious family has a unique orientation in its apostolate. The Disciples are characterized by a special dedication to the family inspired by the life and teaching of John Paul II. Following in his footsteps we wish to help families discover human love as a path of holiness. We work together with the family, underlining the vocation of love to which they are called.
Love appears as a fundamental dimension of the lives of people who learn it first in their family relationships: each of us lives love first as children then as spouses in a fruitful exchange that opens us to the Fatherhood of God.
The Spiritual Exercises according to the method of Saint Ignatius de Loyola are an activity typical of the Disciples of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary (cf. Constitutions n.9).
The Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola are the basis of the spirituality of the Disciples of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. In this school of spiritual life, we have formed, our own path of holiness as priests and religious.
Therefore, it is an activity of the Disciples of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary preaching and leading of the Exercises of St. Ignatius. This constitute the foundation of the path of holiness that we offer as teachers of the spiritual life.
