José Granados has been Superior General of the Disciples of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary since 2020. He is co-founder and president of the Veritas Amoris Project. He was professor of Dogmatic Theology of Marriage and the Family at the Pontifical Institute John Paul II, Central See (Rome), of which he was vice-president between 2010 and
2019. He was appointed by Pope Francis as Consultor to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (2013-2020), Consultor to the Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops (since May 2015) and Consultor to the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life (October 2018). He is a member of the scientific council of the journals Anthropotes, Revista
española de teología and Gregorianum. From 2004 to 2009 he taught at the American section of the Pontifical John Paul II Institute at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. He received his doctorate in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome (Bellarmine Prize). He also holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICAI), Madrid.
